WELCOME TO THE PARISH BIOSCA CASTLE

It's located in the north of the county of Segarra on the hills of Llobregós valley. These hills, in the Middle Age were a part of Hispana Marca, natural and fortified frontier between Christians of Muslims. The origins of Biosca Castle can be traced back to these fortifications that forbid the access to the north.

The ancient parish is part of the Biosca Castle, which from the peak of a hill in the north oversees Biosca village, situated at the right side of a small river with the same name.

This extraordinary location invites you to see a big sight of Llobregós valley from the house, although it is part of the village with its advantages, it keeps the privilege to be a comfortable and isolated place.

Its south position protected in the north by the hill and the walls of the castle and rounded in the east and in the west by two more hills which give it a very good position in the way of Feng shui (healthy house). In the whole day, you can enjoy the sunny light, starting from the sunrise until the sunset, which penetrates in all the rooms.

The last restoration was done in 90's by their actual owners Ramon Muntada Verdés and Mercè Audet Bordoll, under the supervision of the same Ramon (architect) specialized in stone and wood restoration. The eclectic style he gave it allows to enjoy the magnificent lights and sights of the house. [ + images ]

During the last ten years it has been used as a second residence with particular use and we together with the large number of visitors which visit it agree that the house and its surroundings are welcoming and provide you with a lot of peace so that the stay is always short and you don't have any necessity to look for other sort of entertainment.

The house is joined to the hill stone and to the rests of the castle wall and in the middle of the natural landscape there are 2000m2 of garden in different levels, which surround the house with a built surface of 850m2, distributed in three floors:

- The ground floor has 100m2 distributed in two rooms for an entertained use where there are a tennis table and another area for other games and a lot of different toys, it has a toilet, too.

- The first floor has 250m2 distributed in a big hall; three big rooms, one of them with a big bathroom which have two independent washbasins, WC and bidet, a hydromassage-shower and a bath; another bathroom with washbasin, WC, bidet and a bath; an independent bathroom with a shower, washbasin and WC. The kitchen is divided in two areas, one of them for eating with a big table and a fireplace, and the other one for cooking with all the necessary equipment, dishwasher, cooker, oven, microwave oven, and fridge...too, from the kitchen you can access a garden gallery.
In this floor there are also big sitting-rooms where you can do different activities with 65m2, with a fireplace, TV, video and an access to the garden gallery; a laundry with washing-machine, dry-machine and an iron.
During the sunny days, you can enjoy eating in the garden gallery which is joined to the castle wall and to the castle stone.

- The second floor has 200m2 distributed in four rooms, one bathroom with WC, bidet, washbasin and bath and a big wood room of 100 m2 with big windows and the room also has tables, sofas, TV and a fireplace.
This room is ideal for relaxing and calm activities which need some concentration like reading, writing, drawing, taking photos, thinking about,... with excellent sights to the valley which changes its appearance every season of the year (see Segarra region).

Emphasize that this is a house to live in and enjoy its surroundings, however, its geographical position (the centre of Catalonia) offers you the possibility to visit Barcelona, Tarragona (Port Aventura fairground park), Girona and Andorra, spending only half an hour of trip.

You can enjoy the 500m2 of particular green area with a 12,5x5m swimming pool with an overflowing skimmer. These things and other continuous performance of its surroundings will give you and your friends or partners the possibility of enjoying a lonely and comfortable place. We have done it the last ten years and we enjoyed it a lot, specially the children with many places to play.
